All products must be installed according to manufacturer’s installation instructions and safety guidelines by a licensed professional or all manufacture warranties will be void. All work must be done according to local building, electrical and mechanical codes.  You agree to not hold responsible PTAC Central, Hamilton Home Products, its partners, the product manufacturers or any other providers of your purchased items for any damages, liability or legal litigation for any consequences, damages or injury that results from improper use or installation.

•        Important Notice

Purchaser hereby acknowledges that federal law prohibits opening the refrigeration lines of any equipment purchase. A properly licensed professional must handle the refrigerant contained in any unit/system. Purchaser hereby assumes full responsibility for the safe and proper installation in accordance with applicable local code requirements.


•         Equipment Selection

PTAC Central does not guarantee or accept responsibility for the merchantability or fitness of the equipment for any particular application. Any suggestions that may be provided by PTAC Central concerning system sizing and/or selection are subject to an onsite inspection by a knowledgeable professional to confirm suitability and fitness for your particular project. You must ensure your products are the correct size, model, efficiency, and comply with local building, electrical and mechanical codes.


•        Liability

PTAC Central cannot be held liable for damages, consequential or inconsequential, resulting from the installation or operation of equipment. This equipment IS NOT intended to be installed by anyone without the proper expertise, background, and certification. While we acknowledge and applaud do-it-yourselfers, you accept all risk for both installation and equipment selection. We strongly encourage an on-site inspection by a certified professional. Our advice is the result of information obtained by you and is limited of the details and scope of your particular needs. We will do our best, given the limited circumstances under which our advice is administered, to provide you with accurate and up to date information.


•        Warranties — Please Review our Warranty Policy

Warranties on all products sold adhere to the manufacturers’ warranty and documentation. Any and all warranty claims must be made through the manufacturer.  PTAC Central can assist in facilitating the warranty claim and can provide replacement parts (not including shipping and handling charges). This equipment IS NOT intended to be installed by anyone without the proper expertise, background, and certification. While we acknowledge and applaud do-it-yourselfers, you accept all risk for both installation and equipment selection. Any applicable warranty will be void if the installation is not completed per the manufacturers’ instructions and warranty coverage.


•        Typographical Errors and Inaccuracies

PTAC Central has taken great care to prepare this website in a responsible manner. The content presented within this website serves as ‘information only’. Therefore, PTAC Central cannot accept responsibility for the material published, which may include typographical errors, omissions or misstatements. Manufacturers continuously update their equipment and we are not always notified. Therefore, we cannot be held responsible for our product descriptions that may vary from the manufacturers’ actual production.

In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, PTAC Central shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. •        Shipping & Delivery — Please Review our Shipping Policy

Your products may arrive separately. The freight company will call you to schedule a delivery appointment. You must be available to sign your delivery receipt. The delivery receipt is a legal, binding document. When you sign the receipt clear, you are acknowledging that you are taking ownership of the correct number of pieces with no damage to the packaging or products.


If your order has already been shipped from our warehouse (proof with tracking number and Bill of Lading) and you decide to cancel your order or attempt to reverse your credit card charges, or refuse shipment by any reason other than visible damage. You will be required to pay a 20% restocking fee PLUS actual shipping charges from and to our warehouse located in Columbus, OH.


Any orders received by payment of check are subject to a 10 business day hold before processing your order for shipment. Orders will be shipped on or shortly after 10th business day providing check clears our business account. YOU ARE LIABLE FOR DAMAGE OR SHORTAGES NOT NOTED AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY.


Upon receipt of your shipment, please inspect each carton and piece of equipment on the pallet. Count the number of pallets. Make sure that your count matches the piece count on the delivery receipt.  Look for any damage to the packaging. Damage to the packaging includes:

Broken pallets

Shrink wrap that is falling off, missing, slightly torn or has holes

Cardboard with small creases, dents or tear


Inspect underneath any packaging with damage, no matter how slight the damage is.



Sign CLEAR, only if

* the pallet count is correct, * the packaging is in excellent condition, and the * the products are in excellent condition.

Sign DAMAGED, if

* the packaging shows any signs of wear (include a description), * the No Stack cone is missing or crushed, * the product(s) are not in excellent condition (include a description).


* the shrink wrap shows signs of wear, is torn, missing or was replaced during transit.

Sign SHORT, if

* the pallet count on the delivery receipt does not match the number of pallets you receive.



* If you receive a piece of equipment with cosmetic damage, take delivery of it after noting the damage on the delivery receipt. If you receive a unit with severe damage, refuse the damaged item. Document the delivery receipt with the reason for refusal. Always take delivery of undamaged products, even if they are on the same pallet as a damaged product.

* When receiving an PTAC unit it is normal for oil to be on or inside the unit or packaging. This is due to the manufacturing process, and does not mean the unit is leaking or damaged.

* Liftgate service is not included unless specified in the shipping section of the order. Please be available to assist with unloading your shipment or arrange for liftgate service. For more information on liftgate service, please see our Shipping Policy.

Should you decide to return your equipment purchase for personal reasons, shipping fees to and from your location will be deducted from your refund. Please see our Return Policy for more information.
